Beach Bum Soapery uses pure essential oils and natural phthalate free fragrance oils for scent because we believe in keeping our soap as natural as possible.

 

The chemical process of soap making (saponification) is hard on essential oils. Some are chemically alterred.  Many evaporate quickly and in essential oil blends, do so at different rates. Citrus oils are notoriously difficult and short lived.  Combining with other oils or clays can help anchor the citrus scent. Often, as you use the soap and the outer layer is washed away, the essential oil scent is revived. We carefully choose natural phthalate free fragrance oils for bars that need a boosted or holiday scent.  We love them both!
